Place the agar-agar, corn starch, vanilla, and sugar into a bowl and mix. Pour the milk into a pan and heat until it boils.
Add a bit of the hot milk to the bowl with the other ingredients and whisk it. Then pour the entire mixture back into the pan with the rest of the milk and whisk it continuously on medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes.
Be careful that it doesn’t burn at the bottom of the pan. When the mixture has developed a thick consistency, gradually add the butter and stir until fully blended.
Pour the cream into a container and cover it with cling film. Let it cool down to a lukewarm temperature before placing it in the refrigerator to cool completely.
Before using it, blend it again to achieve a smooth texture.
